A rewarding Per Diem pharmacist opportunity is available to support a specialized HIV/AIDS community pharmacy in the Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale) area. This role involves providing compassionate, expert care to a sensitive patient population through services that require respect, empathy, and strong communication skills. The position also offers additional flexibility as pharmacists can work per diem shifts at an affiliated pharmacy nearby.

Location: Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL area
Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and counsel patients on HIV/AIDS medications with sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with patients and healthcare providers
  • Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by identifying operational needs and proactively supporting the pharmacy team
  • Deliver a high level of patient care tailored to a vulnerable and trusting patient community
  • Adhere to professional standards for punctuality and patient support

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience, specifically with HIV/AIDS drug dispensing
  • Proven ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with patients living with HIV/AIDS
  • Proficiency with QS1 pharmacy software or equivalent technology
  • Licensed Pharmacist in Florida with an up-to-date license
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both with patients and healthcare providers
