Pharmacist | Pompano Beach, Florida

A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available at a healthcare facility serving an Indian Health Clinic setting. This role reports directly to the Chief Health Officer and requires adherence to a dress code of scrubs or business casual attire (excluding all-black outfits). The pharmacist will provide essential support to daily pharmacy operations ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, patient safety, and appropriate dosing
• Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Verify correct filling of MedBoxes to ensure patient adherence
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on treatment plans
• Perform medication reconciliation to maintain accurate medication histories
• Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions to optimize outcomes
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications to prevent adverse events
• Oversee pharmacy technicians’ workflow including prescription filling and inventory management
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials
• Experience in clinical pharmacy operations or community health settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management principles
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and pharmacy best practices
