Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and proper dosing
  • Prepare and dispense medications following regulatory and quality guidelines
  • Verify correct filling of MedBoxes to support patient adherence
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to optimize treatment plans
  • Perform medication reconciliation for complete and accurate medication histories
  • Manage therapy for patients with chronic health conditions
  • Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications to prevent adverse events
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow completion
  • Maintain thorough patient records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with a strong background in community or clinical pharmacy practice
  • Familiarity with medication reconciliation and therapy management
  • Experience overseeing pharmacy technicians and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of Indian Health Clinic protocols is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and multidisciplinary collaboration
