Per Diem Pharmacist in Port Aransas, TX

Provide safe and efficient medication dispensing under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager in a Per Diem role based in Port Aransas, TX. This position involves counseling patients, managing stock and controlled substances, and addressing patient and third-party inquiries to ensure optimal patient care.

• Per Diem
• Term of assignment: August 27-28 and September 3-4
• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
• Counsel patients regarding their medication regimens and answer related questions.
• Address patient concerns, inquiries, and complaints following organizational policies.
• Maintain stock levels and controlled drug records, performing regular inventories.
• Clarify third-party coverage and resolve patient problems promptly.
• Utilize Pioneer software for pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Texas.
• Minimum of 1+ year retail pharmacy experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
