Pharmacist - Porterville, California

A leading medical center is seeking two experienced pharmacists to support its progressive inpatient pharmacy team. This opportunity involves working in a large, 500-bed hospital environment, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care within a technologically advanced department.

Location: Visalia, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks or more)
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons, 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
• Managing pharmacokinetic consultations and interventions
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilizing Cerner information technology for clinical documentation and order processing

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Full-time availability with flexibility for variable shifts
• Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems highly desirable
• Strong communication and leadership skills to oversee staff and coordinate care
