An ambulatory infusion therapy clinic specializing in IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through expert medication management and pharmacy operations support in a home infusion setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
  • Perform sterile compounding in accordance with USP 797 standards and support cleanroom operations
  • Ensure the safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
  • Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records to comply with federal and state regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for fellow pharmacists as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Minimum of 1+ year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Required experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
  • Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
  • Strong skills in communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking

Schedule:

  • Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
  • Additional ongoing PRN coverage as needed
