A Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available in Grants, NM, offering a direct hire position that plays a vital role in medication management and pharmacy operations. This position demands a professional with expertise in medication preparation, clinical pharmacy services, and departmental leadership to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, label, and dispense medications, including parenteral drugs and IV solutions, while meeting all legal and quality requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate patient drug therapies for safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness, providing education and drug information to healthcare providers.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, maintain records, and supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Participate in clinical protocols, formulary management, emergency rapid response teams, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Director, overseeing daily pharmacy operations and compliance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to organizational compliance and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy; BS in Pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in New Mexico.
• 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology and drug therapy tailored to age-specific patient needs.
• Proficient in pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technologies, and possesses strong communication and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements:
