A remote pharmacist role is available on a temporary-to-permanent basis, supporting Medicare Part B drug prior authorization and appeals reviews. This position offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in utilization management within an evolving, fast-paced environment.

Location:

  • Remote (open to pharmacists licensed in any state)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST
  • Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation
  • No day off except in emergencies from January 1 to March 31, 2027

Responsibilities:

  • Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals
  • Apply clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements to authorization decisions
  • Support internal clinical and non-clinical teams regarding Part B drug policies and workflows
  • Identify improvements for review quality, accuracy, and operational processes
  • Adapt quickly to changing workflows, processes, and business priorities
  • Maintain consistent quality and productivity while managing varying volumes and priorities

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to evaluate complex Part B drug requests independently
  • Experience with Part B drug prior authorization and/or appeals review
  • Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience preferred
  • Medicare Part B, utilization management, and prior authorization expertise highly valued

  • Equipment provided by the client
  • Contract duration: October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027
  • Contract is temp-to-hire with potential permanent employment afterward
