Per Diem Pharmacist | Raleigh, North Carolina

A Per Diem pharmacist position is available in a home infusion environment in Raleigh, NC. This role requires proficiency with CPR+ software and focuses on ensuring the accuracy and safety of sterile compounded pharmaceutical products. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, covering the period from July 29 through August 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in verifying pharmaceutical products entering the clean room according to batch records and unique lot numbers.
• Perform final checks on compounded sterile products (CSP), including labels, fill amounts, and drug verification.
• Review final shipments to patients, ensuring all medications and medical supplies match delivery tickets.
• Communicate effectively with medical offices, field nurses, and patients regarding drug regimens, inventory, adverse reactions, and abnormal lab results.
• Contact patients to discuss upcoming deliveries, assess medication inventory, and monitor compliance.
• Handle inquiries from medical providers, nursing agencies, and patients promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum two years of recent acute-care experience or at least one year in home infusion therapy.
• Strong expertise in intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
• Proficiency with CPR+ software is essential.
