Pharmacist - Ranchos De Taos, NM

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in a critical access hospital setting located in Ranchos De Taos, NM. This contract position involves providing essential pharmacy services for a facility with a patient capacity of approximately 25. The role focuses on supporting healthcare staff with expert medication management and ensuring patient safety through diligent pharmacy practices.

Schedule:

• Day shifts
• 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain high standards of operation
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations
• Manage pharmacokinetics, including dosage adjustments and monitoring patient responses
• Support inpatient pharmacy services ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating competency in medication therapy management and hospital pharmacy operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail for medication verification and supervision
