Pharmacist - Rapid City, South Dakota

A small 25-bed surgical hospital in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a focused inpatient setting, supporting surgical patient care with clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring as needed
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Qualifications:

• Valid South Dakota pharmacist license required
• Inpatient pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• Strong communication and clinical consultation skills
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is beneficial

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts
