Pharmacist - Reading, PA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist position within an 80-bed community hospital setting. The role offers a contract assignment starting as soon as possible with a duration of 13 weeks or more. The schedule is day shift with flexible options to work either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days, with no weekend or holiday shifts required.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies and adjustments
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication outcomes
• Utilize healthcare IT systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff
• Proficiency with hospital information systems such as EPIC and Pyxis preferred
