An 80-bed community hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis, starting ASAP for a minimum of 13 weeks. Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily operations
- Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient medication therapy
- Participate in pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments
- Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage patient and medication information
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team
