Provide expert pharmaceutical care in an outpatient setting attached to a hospital environment, focusing on both prescription and over-the-counter medications. This role offers an opportunity for a skilled pharmacist to engage with patients directly, ensuring safe and effective medication use while supervising pharmacy technicians.

Location:

  • Outpatient pharmacy adjacent to a hospital in a scenic Northern California community

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to support patient treatment plans
  • Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and interactions to promote safe and informed healthcare decisions
  • Utilize Cerner pharmacy software for medication management and documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current California pharmacist license
  • Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient counseling and teamwork
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems, ideally Cerner

Schedule:

  • Day shift hours
