Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a night shift pharmacist in a 175-bed hospital setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates licensed in Nevada with hospital pharmacy experience, ready to start promptly. The role involves ensuring accurate medication order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, collaborating closely with physicians and nurses, and applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and promptly during the night shift
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Consult with medical staff including physicians and nurses to provide pharmaceutical guidance
• Utilize pharmacokinetics knowledge to assess and adjust medication regimens
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Operate pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Nevada pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Comfortable working night shifts on a consistent schedule
• Proficient with pharmacy IT systems, particularly EPIC and Pyxis
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts per night

This is a 13-week contract with potential for extension. Start date is flexible but ideally soon to meet staffing needs.
