Pharmacist | Renton, Washington

This remote role offers an opportunity to apply your advanced clinical pharmacy expertise within a managed care setting, focusing on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to health plan members. Working Monday through Friday with rare weekend requirements, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals including medical directors and nurse case managers to ensure coordinated, cost-effective medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to provide direct patient care and improve therapeutic outcomes.
• Lead population-based disease management initiatives and specialty pharmaceutical coordination.
• Perform drug utilization review, develop clinical policies, and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities.
• Review pharmacy and medical claims, educate members and caregivers, and collaborate with healthcare providers to implement medication action plans.
• Develop and apply drug medical policies promoting safe, effective, and affordable use of prescription drugs.
• Communicate therapeutic recommendations clearly and tactfully to physicians to facilitate necessary changes.
• Maintain professional development and stay current with clinical pharmacy practices.
• Manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced and continually evolving pharmacy and healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Oregon, Washington, or California.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managed care environment, including handling prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing diverse responsibilities.
