Pharmacist | Republic, Missouri

A pharmacy professional is needed to support central pharmacy operations in a hospital setting for a 13-week assignment with strong extension potential. This role focuses primarily on product verification within the pharmacy, ensuring accurate medication preparation and availability using EPIC EMR software.

Responsibilities include coordinating workflow in the central pharmacy, verifying and checking medications, kits, crash carts, prepackaged items, and other essential supplies. The pharmacist will also ensure code carts are restocked correctly and oversee the daily activities of pharmacy technicians, providing direction to support efficient operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining medication safety and readiness, collaborating closely with a team of pharmacists and technicians.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Missouri Pharmacist Licensure is required
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates will be considered
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills for working with pharmacy staff and clinical team members

Training for this role will focus on product verification and typically lasts 2 to 3 weeks, adjusting based on the pharmacist’s capability.

Schedule/Hours:

• Central pharmacy operates with a day shift staffed by 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians, and an evening shift staffed by 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians
• This position will primarily work day shift, overseeing central operations
