A hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide essential overnight pharmaceutical care. This night shift role operates on a 7-days on, 7-days off schedule, with hours from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, running Thursday night through Thursday morning. During a large portion of the shift (11:30 PM – 6:00 AM), you will serve as the sole pharmacist on site, supported by pharmacy technicians throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies to ensure safety, efficacy, and appropriateness according to age and condition.
  • Communicate drug information effectively to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in emergency drug therapy management and ensure availability of adequate medication supplies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities during your shift to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing is required.
  • Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare teams and patients.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining patient safety and service excellence.

Physical & Cognitive Demands:
Involves medium physical exertion occasionally and requires strong analytical skills, memory, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
