Travel Retail Pharmacist - Richfield Springs, NY

A full-time outpatient retail pharmacist opportunity is available in Cooperstown, New York, supporting a respected health system serving Central New York's rural communities. This contract role involves working in a high-volume outpatient retail pharmacy that fills approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly, with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service.

Location:

• Cooperstown, New York (primary)
• Occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi locations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within a busy outpatient retail setting
• Provide immunization services and participate in the Meds to Beds program supporting hospital patients
• Engage with patients to deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring satisfaction and support
• Collaborate with healthcare providers using EPIC EMR for patient demographics and insurance information
• Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy management system to manage workflows
• Occasionally provide coverage at affiliated locations for vacation or sick leave

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
• High-volume dispensing experience preferred (approximately 1,100 scripts per week)
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems is a plus
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• Flexibility to provide occasional coverage at additional regional locations
