A Pharmacist opportunity is available in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting with 50-60 beds, offering a part-time position with the possibility of full-time hours. This role is based in Kentfield, CA, working day shifts and utilizing Wellsky and PYXIS automation systems. The position is a contract-to-hire arrangement, ideal for pharmacists looking to expand or maintain their clinical skills in a hospital environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited College/School of Pharmacy required.
- Active California Pharmacist License.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of retail pharmacy experience considered, particularly for those transitioning to or maintaining clinical practice.
- Pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation experience preferred.
- Previous inpatient or hospital experience highly desirable.
- TPN (total parenteral nutrition) experience a plus.
- Current, valid BLS and ACLS certifications from approved vendors preferred.
- Acute care experience is an advantage.
- Candidates with extensive (10+ years) community pharmacy experience or recent PGY1 residency graduates might find this setting less suitable for long-term placement due to facility size and focus.
