Pharmacist | Richmond, Virginia

A Level I trauma center with 460 beds in Richmond, VA, is seeking two experienced pharmacists to fill night shift positions on a contract basis. These roles offer a unique week-on, week-off schedule, providing extended time off for work-life balance.

Schedule:

• Shift hours: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Week-on, week-off rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations and optimize patient care
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring to support individualized therapy plans
• Utilize pharmacy information systems including Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis for efficient workflow and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license is required
• Demonstrated ability in order verification and clinical pharmacy services
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment, preferably Level I trauma center
• Proficiency with pharmacy technology systems such as Meditech Magic, Pyxis, and Dose Edge
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
