Travel Retail Pharmacist - Richmondville, New York

A well-established healthcare system in Central New York is seeking a dedicated full-time outpatient retail pharmacist. This position is based primarily at a busy outpatient retail pharmacy in Cooperstown, NY, with occasional coverage required at nearby locations in Oneonta and Delhi. The role offers the opportunity to work within a respected system known for its strong pharmacy program and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Location:

• Cooperstown, New York (primary)
• Occasional coverage in Oneonta and Delhi

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Dispense approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly in a high-volume outpatient retail setting
• Participate in the Meds to Beds program supporting hospital patients
• Provide immunization services to the community
• Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy management system and EPIC electronic medical records for managing prescriptions and patient information
• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to best practices
• Collaborate with fellow pharmacists and staff to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Flexibility to cover shifts at additional locations as needed

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy required; high-volume dispensing experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems is advantageous
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong commitment to excellent customer service, as this is a critical component of the role
• Adaptable to providing coverage at multiple locations within the healthcare network
