Travel Retail Pharmacist | Richmondville, New York

An established healthcare network in upstate New York is seeking a full-time outpatient retail pharmacist to join a busy pharmacy team based primarily in Cooperstown. This well-respected system serves a large rural area and offers a stable environment with a strong pharmacy program and excellent community reputation.

Position Details:

• Location: Cooperstown, NY (with occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi)
• Employment: Contract, Full Time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• Pharmacy: Outpatient retail setting with no sterile compounding or chemotherapy
• Volume: Approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly, staffed with two pharmacists daily
• Programs: Meds to Beds for hospital patients, immunization services
• Systems: PioneerRx pharmacy management, EPIC EMR for demographics and insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and ensure patient safety
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare staff
• Participate in immunization administration and Meds to Beds program activities
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient workflow
• Cover occasional shifts at satellite locations as needed

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy, preferably high-volume dispensing
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems is preferred
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong commitment to outstanding customer service
• Flexibility for occasional travel to Oneonta and Delhi locations
