A full-time night pharmacist position is available at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This contract role involves working a 7-on, 7-off night schedule from Wednesday through Tuesday, starting as soon as possible with a 13-week duration and the potential to transition to temp-to-hire status.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with physicians on drug selection and dosing adjustments
• Providing education on medications to nursing staff, patients, and physicians
• Leading medication safety initiatives to ensure best practices
• Reviewing patient profiles to prevent medication errors
• Monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions
• Preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
• Managing narcotic accountability in compliance with regulations

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Arizona
• Experience working in hospital pharmacy settings
• Strong knowledge of medication safety and government regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Skill in compounding IV admixtures and handling narcotics securely
