A specialty pharmacy is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support long-term care pharmacy operations. This contract opportunity, based in Pocahontas, IA, offers a structured schedule with some weekend shifts required. The assignment duration is 13+ weeks, providing stability and a focused work environment.

Location:

• Pocahontas, IA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Some weekends required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform long-term care pharmacist duties with accuracy and professionalism
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in specialty pharmacy settings
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and staff to optimize patient care
• Manage medication dispensing and maintain detailed records
• Provide immunizations and patient counseling when applicable

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa Pharmacist License or Iowa Temporary License required
• Immunization certification preferred
• CPR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of long-term care pharmacy practices and regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
