A long-term care (LTC) pharmacy located in Rocky Hill, CT is urgently seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their team on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience in a dynamic LTC/IDD (intellectual developmental disorder) pharmacy environment with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.
Location:
- Rocky Hill, CT (Hartford area)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (flexibility to start as early as 8 AM and work as late as 6 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform product verification level 2 (PV2), checking and verifying medication orders
- Train and develop skills for product verification level 1 (PV1) as appropriate
- Manage high prescription volume efficiently using the Frameworks system
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Connecticut pharmacist license is required
- Prior LTC pharmacy experience preferred; retail pharmacists with strong work ethic and volume management skills are encouraged to apply
- Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for collaborative work with team members
