Pharmacist - Rogersville, Missouri

A hospital pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to support evening operations in the central pharmacy on a contract basis. This role is essential in verifying medication products and ensuring efficient workflow within the acute care pharmacy setting.

Location:

• Springfield, MO (central pharmacy in an acute care hospital)
• Evening shift: 2:30 pm to 12:30 am, 7 days on/7 days off (schedule may vary)

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medications using the EPIC EMR system, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, kits, crash carts, and prepack items
• Coordinate the workflow and operational tasks of pharmacy technicians during the evening shift
• Ensure code carts and medication kits are adequately stocked and maintained
• Oversee central pharmacy operations during assigned shift without direct supervision responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license is required
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates with relevant skills will be considered
• Proficiency in using EPIC or similar electronic medication record systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail in medication verification and workflow coordination

Training & Team Environment:

• Training period of 2-3 weeks centered on product verification activities
• Join a dedicated pharmacy team consisting of multiple pharmacists and technicians working across day and evening shifts
• Evening shift pharmacist leads central pharmacy workflow and supports the technician team
