An urgent opportunity is available for licensed pharmacists to join a per diem team serving multiple Northern California locations, including the greater Bay Area. This role offers flexible, as-needed shifts averaging 1-2 per week, ideal for pharmacists seeking supplemental work or maintaining part-time schedules.
Location
- Sacramento, CA, with shifts throughout Northern California and the Bay Area
- Must be willing to commute within this region; mileage reimbursement applies for travel beyond 30 miles one way
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pharmacy services at retail locations, supporting clients in managing daily operations
- Open and close pharmacies following established protocols
- Oversee and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with regulations
- Ensure accurate dispensing and excellent patient care in accordance with pharmacy law and standards
- Utilize pharmacy software systems such as McKesson Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 to manage prescriptions and inventory
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Active pharmacist license with at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy operations, including opening and closing stores
- Prior experience supervising pharmacy technicians
- Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 preferred
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment
