Location:

• Sahuarita, AZ (with primary duties at a medical center in Tucson, AZ)

Role Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with physicians regarding drug therapy and dosing decisions.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medication regimens and safety.
• Lead medication safety initiatives and maintain accurate patient medication profiles.
• Monitor, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions promptly.
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability.
• Work a night shift schedule: 7 consecutive nights on, 7 nights off (Wednesday through Tuesday).

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist licensure with experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy practice.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols and patient counseling.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Competency in aseptic preparation, including IV admixtures.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for narcotic tracking and documentation.

Schedule and Contract Details:

• Night shifts: 7 days on, 7 days off, Wednesday to Tuesday.
