Pharmacist in Sahuarita, AZ

Two full-time night pharmacists are needed for a 13-week contract at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This opportunity offers the chance to engage in collaborative patient care within a dynamic medical center setting.

Location:

• Tucson, AZ (Northwest Medical Center)

Schedule:

• 7 nights on, 7 nights off
• Wednesday through Tuesday rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage and safety
• Lead medication safety initiatives and manage patient profiles
• Monitor, document, and report adverse drug reactions
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and ensure narcotic accountability

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure in Arizona or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably in a similar sized facility
• Strong knowledge of medication safety practices and clinical pharmacology
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and education
• Ability to manage complex medication regimens and maintain accurate records
