A pharmacist position is available at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ, on a contract basis for 13 weeks. This role primarily supports the second shift, focusing on collaboration and medication management within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on appropriate drug selection and dosing
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medication use
• Lead medication safety initiatives to ensure patient well-being
• Review and maintain patient profiles to optimize pharmaceutical care
• Monitor and report any adverse drug reactions promptly
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements accurately
• Manage narcotic accountability in compliance with regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• State licensure as a pharmacist
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred
• Strong knowledge of drug therapies and dosing guidelines
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
