This opportunity invites a skilled pharmacist to support medication management and safety within a 200-bed hospital setting in Tucson, Arizona. You will play a critical role in collaborating with physicians, educating staff and patients, and ensuring adherence to medication protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with physicians on drug selection and dosing decisions.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use and safety.
• Lead medication safety initiatives and monitor patient profiles for accuracy.
• Identify, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability.

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.
• Knowledge of medication safety practices and IV admixture preparation.
• Ability to manage narcotic accountability and documentation rigorously.

Schedule:

• 2nd shift position covering days and afternoons.
• Contract duration of 13 weeks, with potential for time and hours flexibility.
