A pharmacist opportunity is available at a small rehabilitation hospital in the Jacksonville, FL area. This role offers a chance to work in a focused hospital environment supporting patient recovery and medication management.

This 13-week contract position requires mastery in hospital pharmacy operations with responsibilities including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with nursing staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, day shifts, providing a consistent weekday routine.

Ideal candidates hold an active Florida pharmacist license and have some experience working in a hospital setting. Local candidates are preferred to support smooth knowledge transfer and on-site presence, but experienced traveler pharmacists will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
• Consult with nurses and physicians to address medication questions and therapy adjustments
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Florida pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred
