Staff Pharmacist

We’re seeking a pharmacist in St. Louis, MO for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing specialty/mail-order pharmacy!

Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with a rotating schedule between the hours of 7:30 AM–9:00 PM | Alternative: 4x10 schedule available, Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Employment: Direct Hire / Permanent
• Setting: High-volume Specialty / Mail Order Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, including new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
• Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing
• Clinically review and verify prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
• Verify filled prescriptions for accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling prior to dispensing
• Assist with prescription processing and transfers while ensuring a smooth patient experience

Requirements

• Missouri Pharmacist License
• Specialty, retail, or mail order pharmacy experience (preferred). 
• Must be comfortable working a rotating Monday–Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM
