A healthcare facility in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to contribute to patient care by ensuring safe and effective medication management in a collaborative team environment.

Location: Saint Paul, MN
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting ASAP
Schedule: Flexible shifts including 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential over-usage
• Ensure pharmaceutical supply adheres to legal regulations
• Evaluate prescribed medications for patient suitability
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Provide patient counseling regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Deliver additional services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring
• Educate patients on using medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and supplies efficiently
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related problems and optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota pharmacist license in-hand
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred; training available for qualified retail pharmacists
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Flexibility to work specified shifts and rotate weekends
