A licensed Pharmacist is needed to provide critical support at a high-volume mail order and specialty pharmacy processing around 2,500 prescriptions daily. This role is essential during a transitional period with recent state requirements and upcoming pharmacist state exams. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic, experienced team in a fast-paced setting.
Location:
- Mendota Heights, MN (near Saint Paul)
Schedule:
- 1 day per week
- Approximately 16 weeks, with ongoing potential
Responsibilities:
- Accurately review and dispense prescriptions in a mail order/specialty pharmacy environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations amidst evolving requirements
- Collaborate with a large pharmacist team to maintain workflow and patient safety
- Assist with specialized medications and patient counseling related to specialty pharmaceuticals
- Maintain documentation and quality assurance protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist license (required)
- Minnesota Pharmacist license preferred but not mandatory
- Licenses must be in good standing with the respective boards
- Experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
