A licensed Pharmacist is needed to provide critical support at a high-volume mail order and specialty pharmacy processing around 2,500 prescriptions daily. This role is essential during a transitional period with recent state requirements and upcoming pharmacist state exams. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic, experienced team in a fast-paced setting.

Location:

  • Mendota Heights, MN (near Saint Paul)

Schedule:

  • 1 day per week
  • Approximately 16 weeks, with ongoing potential

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review and dispense prescriptions in a mail order/specialty pharmacy environment
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations amidst evolving requirements
  • Collaborate with a large pharmacist team to maintain workflow and patient safety
  • Assist with specialized medications and patient counseling related to specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Maintain documentation and quality assurance protocols

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist license (required)
  • Minnesota Pharmacist license preferred but not mandatory
  • Licenses must be in good standing with the respective boards
  • Experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
