Pharmacist | San Antonio, Texas

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospital setting, delivering pharmaceutical care to inpatient and outpatient populations.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM
• Coverage required every 4th weekend
• Potential future shift adjustment to second shift (11:45 AM–10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts)
• Based in Kerrville, TX
• Start date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely in compliance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and optimize patient medication therapies
• Utilize Meditech, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell systems for medication dispensing and tracking
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide drug information and education to hospital staff and patients as needed

Qualifications:

• Current Texas Pharmacist license required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell technology is a plus
• Ability to adapt to schedule changes and provide weekend coverage
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
