Provide critical pharmacy support as a PRN Staff Pharmacist for a specialized pharmacy serving hospice and palliative care patients in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers flexible day-shift coverage to support the Pharmacist in Charge during vacations and planned absences, extending through the remainder of 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pharmaceutical care during day shifts on an as-needed basis aligned with the Pharmacist in Charge’s vacation schedule.
  • Manage dispensing and clinical services in a newly established, low-volume pharmacy specializing in specialty infusion and hospice care.
  • Participate in a mandatory training day before beginning coverage to ensure smooth integration and familiarity with pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate within a small, patient-focused team to support compassionate care for hospice and palliative patients.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing is required.
  • Experience in specialty or infusion pharmacy strongly preferred; hospice or palliative care experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably as part of a small pharmacy team.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care, reflecting the sensitive nature of hospice and palliative service.
  • Availability to provide PRN coverage throughout the remainder of 2026.
  • Local candidates preferred; no travel accommodations necessary.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, with specific hours determined by pharmacy needs and PIC schedule.
  • Coverage to begin shortly after the pharmacy opens within the next few weeks.
