Travel Pharmacist - Southern California

A 3-week Travel Pharmacist opportunity is available at a community hospital in a beautiful Southern California mountain town. This is a great opportunity for an experienced inpatient pharmacist who is comfortable working independently and providing both clinical and operational pharmacy support.

Position Details:

• Duration: 3 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• On Call: Weekends and after hours; call-ins are expected to be infrequent
• Systems: CPSI/Evident and Pyxis
• Support: PRN pharmacy technician available to assist with inventory and data entry
• Compensation: $66-68/hr

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
• Perform sterile compounding and IV admixtures as needed
• Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations
• Respond to ER codes when needed
• Maintain regulatory and sterile compounding compliance
• Support Pyxis replenishment at local family health centers

Requirements:

• Active, clear California pharmacist license
• 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Sterile compounding experience
• Ability to work all required on-call hours
• CPSI/Evident and Pyxis experience preferred; training available
• Experience working as the only pharmacist in a clinical setting preferred
• No chemotherapy or hazardous drug experience required
