Pharmacist in San Diego, CA

A pediatric hospital is seeking a skilled Night Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care during overnight hours. This role plays a critical part in supporting the healthcare team and ensuring medication safety and efficacy for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders with precision and accuracy
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and guiding their workflow
• Consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy, dosing, and pharmacokinetics
• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage orders and inventory effectively
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and state regulations

Schedule and Location:

• Night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Position located in San Diego, CA

Desired Qualifications:

• California Pharmacist license (active and in good standing)
• Previous experience working with pediatric patient populations preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts in a fast-paced pediatric hospital setting
• Proficient in EPIC and Pyxis medication management systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
