Oversee pharmacy operations with a focus on leadership, workflow management, and compliance in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA
Type: Contract (13 weeks or longer)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (No weekends)
EMR System: EPIC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and workflow.
  • Review and update pharmacy policies to maintain regulatory standards.
  • Support and provide training for intravenous (IV) competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards and provide ongoing support.
  • Facilitate pharmacy meetings and coordinate team activities.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems including BD Pyxis, PK, and C2 Safe for inventory and medication management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy; Pharm.D. and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ leadership experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to train staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
