A healthcare facility in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist to manage essential clinical tasks within a 13-week contract role. The position requires a dedicated professional to support patient care through precise medication order verification, supervision of pharmacy technicians, and collaborative consultation with physicians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
• Providing expert consultation to physicians and nurses on medication therapies
• Utilizing Cerner pharmacy IT systems to manage and document patient information
• Adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring the safe use of medications

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Full-time availability with flexible scheduling to cover variable days and afternoon shifts
• Ability to work some weekends as required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Capability to work within budget parameters

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoons
• Some weekend coverage
