Travel Pharmacist - San Luis Obispo, California

Pharmacists are needed for exciting travel assignments on the Central Coast of California, specifically in the San Luis Obispo area. These roles offer the opportunity to work with a prominent healthcare facility, supporting medication management and patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Position Details:

• Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
• Job Type: Travel assignment with a minimum duration of 13 weeks
• Immediate start preferred
• Electronic Systems: Cerner and Omnicell utilized for order processing and medication dispensing

Schedules Available:

• Day Shift Pharmacists: Work four 10-hour days per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Night Shift Pharmacists: Schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Participate in pharmacokinetics assessments to optimize drug dosing and efficacy

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current California pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell electronic systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
