Pharmacist - San Marcos, Texas

This pharmacist position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to patient care within a hospital setting. The role involves rotating shifts of 07:30-16:00, 08:00-16:30, and 14:00-22:30, providing a diverse work experience and flexibility.

Key responsibilities include managing medication dispensing using advanced systems like EPIC and Pyxis, preparing sterile IV compounds when necessary, and monitoring as well as adjusting pharmacokinetic parameters to optimize patient therapy. The pharmacist will work closely with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital environment
• Competency in EPIC and Pyxis systems
• IV certification with the ability to compound sterile preparations
• Proficiency in monitoring and adjusting pharmacokinetics
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be submitted with application)
