This opportunity offers a part-time (potentially up to full-time) pharmacist role in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting with 50-60 beds, located in Kentfield, CA, near San Rafael. The position focuses on daytime shifts and utilizes Wellsky and PYXIS automation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee pharmaceutical care in the LTAC environment
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal medication management
- Utilize automation systems (Wellsky, PYXIS) for medication dispensing and tracking
- Maintain clinical knowledge, with opportunities to apply pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, and TPN expertise
- Support patient safety through up-to-date practices in acute care pharmacy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited College/School of Pharmacy (required)
- California Pharmacist License (active and valid)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
- 2-3 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred; candidates with extensive community pharmacy experience (10+ years) are discouraged
- Prior experience in inpatient/hospital or acute care settings highly desired
- Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation therapy, and TPN preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
- Familiarity with Wellsky and PYXIS automation systems a plus

- Part-time, with potential for full-time
- Day shifts
