A healthcare facility in Grants, NM, is seeking a skilled and dedicated pharmacist to oversee clinical pharmacy services and manage day-to-day pharmacy operations. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $168,000 and the chance to support high-quality patient care through medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, fill, label, and dispense medications, including parenteral and IV solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient drug therapies for safety and efficacy; provide drug information and education to healthcare providers and patients.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, maintain accurate transaction records, and ensure adequate drug supply.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
- Participate in clinical duties, formulary management, Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) updates, and emergency response activities such as Rapid Response Teams and Code Blue situations.
- Support quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy; BS in Pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
- Current, active New Mexico pharmacy license.
- 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered.
- Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and age-specific medication therapy.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology.
- Effective leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger motions, lift up to 40 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capable of operating pharmacy equipment safely and efficiently.
