Pharmacy Per Diem Pharmacist Opportunity – San Tan Valley, AZ
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced retail pharmacists to join a newly partnered pharmacy network serving the greater Phoenix area. This per diem role is designed to support upcoming peak seasons—including graduations, summer vacations, and holidays—with flexible coverage for call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes.
Location: San Tan Valley, AZ
Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Hours vary, with pharmacy operations Monday through Saturday, typically 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., some locations closing at 8 p.m. Shifts are not guaranteed; ideal candidates can work 2–4 days per week as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate dispensing and counseling in a retail pharmacy environment
- Participate in advance training sessions (one 8-hour shift mandatory, additional available) to prepare for both technician-supported and pharmacist-only sites
- Maintain immunization programs and uphold patient safety standards with current BLS certification
- Use QS1 pharmacy software for daily operations
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of retail pharmacy experience (5+ years preferred for higher compensation)
- Immunization privileges and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AZ pharmacist license without restrictions
- Experience with QS1 software ideal but not mandatory
Additional Details:
- Average prescription volume ranges from 100 to 125 per day
- Travel may be required for some locations; mileage and lodging reimbursed as per company policy
- Meal stipends provided for shifts worked
