Support pharmacy operations as a per diem pharmacist in a vibrant retail pharmacy environment serving the San Tan Valley area. This opportunity involves joining a newly established team designed to provide flexible coverage across multiple pharmacy locations, ensuring seamless service during peak periods, vacations, or unexpected absences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality pharmacy care and services in a retail setting.
  • Managing prescriptions efficiently with daily volumes averaging 100-125.
  • Collaborating with pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow; note that some sites may require solo pharmacist management.
  • Participating in designated training sessions to become proficient with QS1 pharmacy systems and operational procedures.
  • Maintaining immunization privileges and current BLS certification to support patient care needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in retail pharmacy, with preference for candidates possessing 5+ years to maximize compensation.
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona pharmacist license.
  • Immunization certification and BLS card holder.
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is an asset.
  • Able to work 2-4 days per week, offering flexibility to cover various shifts Monday through Saturday, usually between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., occasionally until 8 p.m.

Location:

  • Assignments primarily within a commutable range of Phoenix, AZ. Mileage reimbursement and travel accommodations provided for longer trips.

Additional Details:

  • One 8-hour paid training shift required, with further training available as needed.
  • Per diem position offering competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Travel expenses, meals, and lodging reimbursed according to distance and shift requirements.
