A pharmacist position is available in Sanford, FL, offering a temp-to-hire opportunity with a dynamic institutional pharmacy focused on serving skilled nursing, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living communities. This role emphasizes delivering precise and efficient medication distribution tailored to the unique needs of healthcare facilities.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Weekday evening shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Every other weekend day shift: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM (with potential shift adjustments)
• Weekend shifts can be adjusted to 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM or 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, upon interest

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications in unit-dose format according to facility requirements
• Maintain accurate, customized medical records and collaborate with electronic medical records systems through bi-directional interfaces
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards for medication preparation and distribution
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication management
• Provide expert pharmaceutical consulting to support the health and safety of residents in skilled nursing and assisted living environments

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and credentials
• Experience in institutional pharmacy settings, particularly skilled nursing or rehabilitation facilities, is preferred
• Familiarity with unit-dose medication systems and electronic medical records integration
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in weekend rotations
