A hospital-based pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist with inpatient experience in Santa Cruz, CA. This position offers a structured 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule primarily covering 2nd shifts, with occasional weekend coverage. The role is on a 13-week contract, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervising pharmacy technicians and coordinating workflow
- Consulting and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
- Utilizing Cerner pharmacy IT systems to manage orders and documentation
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A valid California Pharmacist license
- At least 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Full-time availability to work the specified shifts
- Ability to work effectively within budget constraints
Schedule:
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
- Shift times primarily 12:30 pm–9:00 pm and 2:30 pm–11:00 pm
- Some weekend shifts required
