This opportunity seeks four experienced pharmacists to provide expert pharmaceutical care on California’s Central Coast. Positions are available for day and night shifts within a dynamic hospital setting.

Location:

  • San Luis Obispo, CA area

Schedule:

  • Two Day Shift Pharmacists: Four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Two Night Shift Pharmacists: Seven consecutive nights on, seven nights off, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Responsibilities include:

  • Verifying medication orders with precision and attention to detail
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow efficiency and safety
  • Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
  • Applying pharmacokinetic principles to tailor drug regimens safely and effectively
  • Utilizing Cerner and Omnicell systems for medication management

Qualifications:

  • Current California pharmacist license is required
  • Minimum of one year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills to support interdisciplinary patient care

This travel pharmacist role offers a minimum 13-week assignment with an ASAP start, providing an engaging work environment and the chance to expand clinical expertise in a well-supported hospital pharmacy. Candidates should be prepared to relocate or travel to the hospital location.
