Pharmacist - Schaumburg, IL

A fulfillment/mail order pharmacy located in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking a dual-licensed pharmacist to support both on-site and remote operations. This role requires pharmacists licensed in both Illinois and Nevada to manage high-volume prescription processing, verification, and supervision. The pharmacy fills prescriptions for notable service providers including Express Scripts, Optum, CVS Caremark, along with their own direct-to-patient service.

Location:

• Schaumburg, IL (Chicago area) – On-site and remote hybrid role

Job Type:

• Contract position, 3 to 6 months, with potential for contract-to-hire

Schedule:

• Facility operates Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Pharmacist will work Saturday in rotation every 6–7 weeks

Responsibilities:

• On-site: Process and verify prescriptions efficiently while supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and volume
• Remote: Manage prescription processing with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across both Illinois and Nevada

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist licenses in Illinois and Nevada (both required)
• Experience working with mail order or fulfillment pharmacy operations preferred
• Ability to effectively supervise pharmacy staff and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to workload
