A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a retail pharmacy in Plattsburgh, NY. This role requires a licensed pharmacist to oversee and manage pharmacy operations while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Schedule: Variable, with evening shifts required at times
Hours: Typically 4x10 or 4x12 schedules (e.g., 8am-8pm)
Responsibilities:
- Register as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
- Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee all pharmacy department operations to achieve financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Engage in business development initiatives within the store and community.
- Manage pharmacy support personnel, conducting performance reviews and training.
- Ensure pharmacy associates complete all required company training and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and therapy adherence.
- Implement and maintain continuous quality improvement programs focused on patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department according to legal and company standards.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Pharmacist License.
- Immunization Certification required.
- Comfortable administering all vaccine types.
