Pharmacist - Seattle, WA

A managed care clinical pharmacist role is available for a dedicated professional holding a pharmacist license in OR, WA, or CA. This remote, Monday through Friday position provides an opportunity to apply expertise in medication therapy management and population-based disease oversight within a collaborative health plan setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services focused on Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and specialty pharmaceutical care coordination.
• Collaborate closely with medical directors, nurse case managers, network physicians, and other healthcare providers to promote evidence-based, cost-effective care.
• Conduct in-depth drug utilization reviews, develop clinical policies, and actively participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee initiatives.
• Review pharmacy and medical claims to identify medication-related problems and implement therapeutic interventions.
• Educate and consult with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses, to enhance patient outcomes and optimize medication use.
• Manage prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and hearings effectively in a managed care environment.
• Maintain personal professional development and keep current with clinical pharmacy advances.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist License in Oregon, Washington, or California.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a managed care setting with considerable experience handling prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
• Strong communication skills, capable of delivering clinical recommendations diplomatically.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
• Commitment to high-quality care while managing costs responsibly.
• Willingness to occasionally work rare weekends a few times per year.
