Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Pharmacist License in OR, WA, or CA
- Minimum of 3+ years in a managed care setting, including expertise with prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings
- Proven ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills for engaging with physicians and healthcare providers
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
Location:
- Remote (work from your preferred location within OR, WA, or CA)
- Must be available for rare weekend work a few times per year
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services through Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and population-based disease management programs
- Collaborate with medical directors, nurse case managers, physicians, and providers to deliver evidence-based, cost-effective care
- Contribute to drug utilization review, specialty pharmaceutical acquisition, and clinical policy development
- Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities and develop medication-related plans and interventions
- Educate and consult with members, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
- Maintain professional development and stay current with pharmacy best practices
