This remote role offers an opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy expertise within a managed care environment, primarily supporting members through coordinated, evidence-based care. The position focuses on collaboration with medical directors, nurse case managers, and network providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective medication management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care via Medication Therapy Management (MTM), including member and caregiver education and intervention.
  • Participate in population-based disease and drug utilization management programs.
  • Support specialty pharmaceutical acquisition and care coordination efforts.
  • Develop and apply clinical policies, including active involvement with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee.
  • Review pharmacy and medical claims to identify medication-related problems and recommend therapeutic changes to providers.
  • Maintain professional development and stay current with clinical pharmacy advancements.
  • Efficiently manage multiple priorities within a fast-changing healthcare environment.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pharmacist License in Oregon, Washington, or California required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managed care setting dealing with prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Experience with clinical policy development and drug utilization review.

Location: Remote (Monday through Friday)
Schedule: Monday through Friday with rare weekends occasionally required a few times per year.

This contract position offers a chance to play a critical role in improving medication-related outcomes while supporting healthcare members remotely with flexible scheduling.
