This opportunity seeks a skilled pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy distribution functions at a hospital in Seattle, WA. This contract role offers an immediate start with the potential to extend beyond 16 weeks or convert to permanent employment.
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoons
- 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders using Epic
- Conduct final product verification checks to ensure accuracy
- Respond to clinical questions and provide drug information
- Supervise pharmacy technician activities
- Participate in Code Blue and emergency response efforts
- Utilize IT systems including Epic and Pyxis effectively
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Washington State pharmacist license is required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Availability for full-time hours starting immediately
- Proficiency with Epic and Pyxis medication management systems
